On the last Sunday of the month we organize House of Life: a place where Christians and people who want to know more about the Christian faith are warmly welcome. And, we mainly focus on people who came to live in the Netherlands. So for example status holders and expats. We are intercultural.
We started with people from Syria, Iran, Turkey, India, Ethiopia and the Netherlands. Language is complicated for all visitors! We make use of Dutch, English, Arabic. We help each other. It is inspiring and encouraging to read the Bible and pray together. We can also sing together. And eat together.
You are welcome at House of Life on every last Sunday of the month. It doesn't matter how good or how bad your Dutch is. We use multiple languages. We like to get to know each other better. And to read the bible and pray together. And we can sing together too. And, eat together afterwards.
We focus on residents in the Haarlemmermeer. We celebrate and experience “how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge” (Ephesians 3:18-19).
As Christians from different countries, cultures and churches we can work together and encourage and help each other.
Pastor Taco Koster is one of the initiators of House of Life. (He is also involved in House of Joy, a place where status holders are welcome and can practice speaking Dutch.) House of Life was set up by Christians from different cultures. There are not only language barriers, but also cultural differences. But it is so beautiful to discover that faith in Jesus Christ binds together. Do you want to know more about House of Life? Please contact Taco Koster.
